James
Sereno
Producer · Director
James Sereno is a Hawaiʻi-born director, producer and founder of Kinetic Productions. A graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, he began his career at Disney Studios and Columbia Pictures.
His work includes directing and producing Paradise Broken and Haole, producing Hang Loose and Man Up, and serving as executive producer on the Sundance selections Gook and Ms. Purple, as well as August at Akiko’s.
His short film Silent Years earned recognition from BAFTA/L.A., and his commercial work has received a Cannes Bronze Lion. Across every format, he is drawn to character, honest emotion and the human connection that stays with an audience.

Dante
Basco
Producer · Actor
Dante Basco is an actor and producer whose work spans film, television and animation. He is known for playing Rufio in Steven Spielberg’s Hook and voicing Prince Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
His credits also include Take the Lead opposite Antonio Banderas and the title role in Disney’s American Dragon: Jake Long.
At Kinetic Films, Dante brings his experience as both a performer and a producer to stories centered on Asian American voices. He starred in and produced Paradise Broken and Hang Loose.
